This is one of my favorite Russian songs sung by the Red Army Choir, about a Don Cossack called Stenka Razine. He was a Cossack bandit and pirate whole kidnapped a Persian Princess and threw her into the Volga waters when ridiculed by his fellow seamen. It is a sad song.
