    My father served in the US Army during World War II. His first engagement in battle was the Ardennes Forest Campaign (Battle of the Bulge).

    During the war, he came across a pamphlet relating to the faith of Generalissimo and Madame Chiang Kai-Shek entitled, 'We Believe.'

    Recently as I perused this booklet, I discovered a note of my father's penned to my mother, Chloie:

    "Here is a great faith and a great love, Chloe. Read this little book when your faith is low and just think what those two people have been through together."
