Passing of Mrs. P.M. Jacob

And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them. (Rev 14:13)

The AOC mourns the passing of Mrs. P.M. Jacob
Widow of our Late Bishop P.M. Jacob (Second Bishop of AOC in Pakistan) and mother of Bishop Ernest Jacob, Presiding Bishop of the Church of Pakistan (AOC).

It grieves us to inform all our Communion Mrs. P. M. Jacob has been called to the Bosom of Christ at the age of 80 years. Her funeral services were conducted on Wednesday, 6 June 2012 at St John's Church, Peshawar, Pakistan. Mrs. Jacob leaves behind four sons (Ernest, Samson, Justin, and Augustin) and one daughter (Beula). She also leaves behind 13 grandchildren with which God has blessed her.

Mrs. Jacob was a faithful and hard-working member of the AOC for many years and the wife of former Presiding Bishop, P.M. Jacob. Her sound counsel and hard labors will be greatly missed by the Church in Pakistan, and her presence will be felt by all of the AOC churches around the world. She has been a radiant and splendid example of the dedicated Christian lady and roll model to all women of the Church.

Though we may mourn her leaving, we must also rejoice in that glorified and pain-free presence which she now enjoys with Christ her Lord.

Let us Pray:

UNTO God's gracious mercy and protection we commit you, Sister Jacob. The LORD bless you and keep you. The LORD make his face to shine upon you, and be gracious unto you. The LORD lift up his countenance upon you, and give you peace, both now and evermore. Amen.
