A Man to stand in the Gap – 17 July 2021, Anno Domini

H

ER princes in the midst thereof are like wolves ravening the prey, to shed blood, and to destroy souls, to get dishonest gain. 28 And her prophets have daubed them with untempered morter, seeing vanity, and divining lies unto them, saying, Thus saith the Lord GOD, when the LORD hath not spoken. 29 The people of the land have used oppression, and exercised robbery, and have vexed the poor and needy: yea, they have oppressed the stranger wrongfully. 30 And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none. 31 Therefore have I poured out mine indignation upon them; I have consumed them with the fire of my wrath: their own way have I recompensed upon their heads, saith the Lord GOD.   (Ezekiel 22:27-31)

Each of the elect of God have a commission from Him to act on His own behalf in preaching, caring, worshipping, praying, and defending against false doctrine and wickedness. That commission is no different, in nature, than that granted to a commissioned officer in the military – that officer acts on behalf, and with the authority, of the sovereign power. In America, that power is delegated by the President of the United States toi each officer. The officer cannot act beyond the authority granted him by the President and the Constitution of the United States. Likewise, the minister of God cannot exceed the authority and principles laid down in the Holy Scriptures in teaching and preaching. In preaching, the overriding principle is truth and simplicity (for the truth is simple).  No need for impressive theological terms or emblems. Even the commentaries of great theologians of the past must pass the credibility test of Holy Writ.

I have heard the proposition bandied about by those who ought to know better, that America was not, and is not, a Christian nation. It is even claimed that such would be undesirable! Well, then what kind of nation and government do we feel appropriate? The laws of a nation reflect the very values of the people – it should not be the other way around – that is, that government must impose upon the people values alien to Christian faith. The first amendment of the US Constitution does not dictate a separation of Church and State contrary to the ‘ungodly opinions’ of self-made judicial potentates. It provides Christian principles cannot be hindered from influencing government; however, government has no role in influencing, or preventing, the expression of religious principles.  This does not reflect an establishment of religion, but rather the free flow of moral thought and language in government of religious viewpoints. When biblical morality is vanquished from government, we see the very specter of immorality as we witness today in America – a grave departure from the past when the US supreme Court did not meddle in affairs beyond their Constitutional limits.

To those who oppose biblical morality and the Moral Law of God being inculcated into our social and political establishment, please reveal for those of lesser mind the specific Constitutional provisions that outlaw Bible reading and prayer in public school to be replaced by sex education and Marxist indoctrination? What article of that sacred document denies an infant in the mother’s womb the right to see its first sunrise? The black-robed, hypocritical oppressors in the Federal judiciary act with immoral impunity tin disrupting a Constitutional Republic that has operated for two centuries on Christian principle. They have created a governmental environment foreign to the intentions of our Godly founders.

Who is responsible for this perversion of the principles of a Constitutional Republic? Sadly, it is you and me. We are responsible for the sordid mess we leave our children and grandchildren. We are leaving a perverted social system in which young men do not know if they are boys or girls, a system in which the court has ruled that sick men can enter the bathrooms of young women and compete in sports as girls. It is high time that you and I stand in the gap and stop enabling such a disestablishment of Constitutional and moral government! We do not remove our Christian robes at the entrance to the voting precinct, nor do we abandon the field of social battle. There are evil powers afoot in the world – both corporate and government, that seek to destroy the man that God hath made.  They seek to do so by a vigorous deprivation of freedom to produce, by advocation abortion of innocents, and by encouraging every form of sexual perversion known to man.

Will you join hands with me to stand in the Gap, ere it is too late to salvage by nation and soul?
