This morning we have excellent sermons from Bishops Jerry and Roy, as well as from Revs Jack and Bryan. Each is quite a bit different and very good. Rev Jack brings the Propers together today. His sermon can be viewed on video here -> https://youtu.be/BDi9mCZ4WWA Today’s Collect asks for God to hear our prayer, an odd request since a perfect God always hears us, our problem being our failure to listen to His responses. It also acknowledges our need for His peace. In the Epistle to the people of Rome Paul points out each of us has a place in God’s service, we are not all the same by design. The Gospel is Mark’s accounting of Jesus’ baptism and the place of praise in our lives. It all comes together, listen or read to understand how.
