EHOLD, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. 21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne. 22 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches. (Revelation 3:20-22)
The text above concludes the warnings of our Lord to the Seven Churches of Revelation. At a moment in history in which formerly reformed and Godly churches are turning to the approval of open sin in denial of biblical counsel, and entertainment in lieu of reverential worship, it is easy to see the state of these Seven Churches have grown even more decadent than the moment when our Lord issue the warning.
One of the pillars of Marxist subversion is to infiltrate all of the organs of power and politics – government (Deep State), education (Marxist propaganda), media, and perhaps most importantly, religion(churches and seminaries). We have stood by in silence as unelected, black-robed judicial tyrants have turned the Constitution on its head in rulings that annulled Constitutional guarantees such as claiming the Constitution forbade Prayer and Bible reading in public schools and even protected the practice of the murder of innocent babies in their mother’s womb.
The fish of faith rots from the head. It is no wonder that the attack on moral righteousness has itself in drug and sex addiction, dishonesty in our political leadership, unrestrained crime, hedonism in our society spurred on by lascivious Hollywood productions, and a simple failure of love and compassion among all age demographics.
The introductory text of this devotion comes in the final warning of our Lord to the churches. He stands at the door and knocks. This is the door of the churches. He is not INSIDE but OUTSIDE the modern, entertainment-based churches. These seven churches, I believe, are prophetically mentioned in Isaiah 4:1:

ND in that day seven women (seven churches of the apocalypse) shall take hold of one man (Jesus Christ), saying, We will eat our own bread (we have no need of the Bread of Heaven - God's Word) , and wear our own apparel (neither have we need of the White Robe of righteousness that He offers): only let us be called by thy name (Christian), to take away our reproach (to give us respectability).
When the Bible speaks of women in prophetic terms, it always refers to a religious or spiritual entity such as the woman of Revelation 12 and 17.
The above example gives us an understanding of the sad state of the church in our day. Many who fill the pews do so out of a sense of obligation or social appearances and not any desire to learn of the One who bled and died in redemption of their sins. The once-per-week twenty-minute sermon cannot fill the void created by a complete lack of thirst and study of the Word of God. Worship is not a casual matter. God must not be offended by our lack of reverence in worship and living. All that we do in our daily lives is a reflection of our faith in God and love of His creature – the way we dress, the way we talk, the way we work, the way we treat others, and even the way we vote is a measure of our Christian faith and commitment.
There is a profoundly important Bible passage very frequently quoted, but seldom given a truly serious observance:

F my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” (2 Chron 7:14)
NB: Not all the people of a nation will suffice in praying for the healing of a nation – God will not hear the prayers of those who regard iniquity in their hearts, but only those who are called by His Name – Christians. But the nominal Christians likewise are not accounted even worthy to offer prayers of restitution without a deeper commitment to Christ. Have we humbled ourselves, have we fervently prayer in our private and communal prayer time, have we seriously sought the face of the Lord, and have we turned from our complacent view of God’s Word and from our sins of both commission and omission? It is the only solution to our national depravity, but one rejected out of hand by modern America.
