There are topics about which I write which may make my audience uncomfortable and, to be honest, that is the whole point of my writing them. When we grow comfortable with our present condition, we cannot grow in spirit, truth or even stature. So, quite often the things that are the most cutting to us are the very things about which we need reminding in order to avoid far greater pain and suffering in life. You may be in a great hurry to get to your destination, but if I warn you that the bridge to that destination is out, you may not be happy to hear the warning, but it could save your life. That is one function, and undoubtedly the greatest, of the Gospel – to warn you of the death that lies ahead, and of the better way to eternal life.
Not only is the human race classed several levels above the animal kingdom owing to thumbs, but also to the ability to plan, think, and communicate rationally. We do think with words we learned from infancy. If the words are changed, confusion will result in our ability to communicate thoughts to others. This is happening, too, with the new versions of the Bible that are not only based on spurious and fewer copies of manuscript and textual evidence than that which undergirds the Received Text Bibles such as the Geneva, King James, and all other Bibles of the Reformation; but also changes word meanings usually to accommodate political correctness. The Word of God does not change to accommodate new and politically correct thought or social conditions, but must be used to lift those thoughts and social conditions to the standard of God’s unchanging Word.
There is a very great warning in Proverbs 22:28: “Remove not the ancient landmark, which thy fathers have set.” What is that Ancient Landmark? Why, it is the Word of God as given to the prophets and early Church Fathers, and gloriously manifested in our Lord Jesus Christ who represents the Rock of our Salvation – not Peter, or any other mortal, but Christ. (see 1 Cor 10:4)He is the physical manifestation of the Word. (see John 1:1-14)The Word of God is divine and pure. Any who presume to change a jot or tittle of it is in danger of damnation. (see Rev 22:18 & 19).
Human language began to be transcribed by way of hieroglyphs in ancient times which were actually picture words. It advanced through the medium of Mesopotamian Wedge Writing on up to the modern phonetic alphabets of the nations today. The words a certain combination of letters represent are thought resources with which we think. If you wish to control a people without revealing your object in doing so, simply gradually change their vocabulary. Words that were perfectly refined a few decades ago can become, through sociological manipulation, words that mean just the opposite. An example of that might be the word ‘rainbow’ or ‘gay.’
There is the Great Deceiver who wishes to destroy not only God’s Creation, but especially mankind that God placed early in the Garden. He beguiled Eve by first falsely quoting Scripture and finally, appealing to her vanity, flatly denied the Word of God. We should not be surprised to see his chosen false prophets doing the same today. They are simply following their leader.
I have four different dictionaries on my desk at the moment. The word ‘homophobia’ does not appear in the Harcourt-Brace Dictionary of 1985, nor does it appear in the extensive three volume1976 Webster’s Third International Dictionary. The word does, however, appear in the 2011 American Heritage Dictionary and the 1988 Webster’s New World Dictionary. Wonder how we got along without the word for time immemorial!
The Webster’s Online Dictionary defines the term ‘homo’ from the Greek meaning: “. . . . any of a genus (Homo) of hominids that includes modern humans (H. sapiens) and several extinct related species (such as H. erectus and H. habilis). Each member of the present day human race belongs to that class of being called, homo-sapien. Homo means ‘man.’ Carl Linaeus pioneered the classification with following comment: “The word homo, the name of the biological genus to which humans belong, is Latin for "human". It was chosen originally by Carl Linnaeus in his classification system. The word "human" is from the Latin humanus, the adjectival form of homo. Mar 30 2019
So, what of the term ‘phobia?’ Merriam-Webster’s online dictionary describes the term in these words: “Phobia definition is - an exaggerated usually inexplicable and illogical fear of a particular object, class of objects, or situation.” So, combining those two Latin terms into one word would render them to mean ‘irrational and inexplicable fear of man.’ In that sense, we would fear an armed fool, or a knife wielding maniac, but most of us suffer from no irrational fear of our fellow man or woman. It is a matter of mystery as to how this term came to mean fear or hatred of an homosexual person. Of course, the modern dictionaries that have invented this term ‘homophobia’ add that it also means an irrational and intense hatred of homosexuals. This new term has been invented to suit the unwholesome needs of a degenerate society. If the term can be used as a demeaning charge against Christians who accept the biblical condemnation of homosexuality, perhaps we could use the equally neutral term, ‘homophilic’ to demean THEM. But let us not fight idiocy with a like mind.
In its classical application, homophobia would mean hatred and fear of man. There is one in Scripture that fits that characteristic to a ‘T’ – it is the Serpent of the Garden, Satan! He has sought from the very beginning to destroy man as a result of the great hatred he harbors for God’s crowning achievement of Creation. If any person can be justly labelled as homophobic, it would be that old Serpent. His modus operandi has traditionally been wars, famine, pestilence, disease and outright murder. But he has refined his attack over the centuries to include some other quite nefarious practices that would reduce radically the human race and world population. Those tactics seem the least hateful but are, in fact, the most treacherous of them all.
The Communist Manifesto by Karl Marx introduced the attack on the biblical family a century and a half ago. “The bourgeois clap-trap about the family and education, about the hallowed co-relation of parent and child, becomes all the more disgusting, the more, by the action of Modern Industry, all family ties among the proletarians are torn asunder, and their children transformed into simple articles of commerce and instruments of labour. . . . Abolition of the family! Even the most radical flare up at this infamous proposal of the Communists. On what foundation is the present family, the bourgeois family, based? On capital, on private gain. In its completely developed form this family exists only among the bourgeoisie. But this state of things finds its complement in the practical absence of the family among the proletarians, and in public prostitution. The bourgeois family will vanish as a matter of course when its complement vanishes, and both will vanish with the vanishing of capital. ” The Manifesto’s opening line is quite telling, “A spectre is haunting Europe -- the spectre of Communism.” ‘Specter’ is a fine name for such an evil and pervasive spirit that has grown to haunt the whole world.
Satan anxiously seized upon this tool to undermine the race called human. If the first counsel of God to man could be annulled through elimination of the distinctives of marriage, that would reduce the race to zero in no time. “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.” (Genesis 1:27-28) Ahh, said Satan! That is it! If I can blur the distinction between male and female, the human race will die of neglect and oblivion in a decade. So, he and his registered agents of corporations, academia and government are pushing this new model contrary to the expressed will of God.
A second tool that has proved very effective in killing millions of the most innocent of humankind is the murderous and cruel sin of abortion. The innocent baby is torn apart before its first glimpse of a morning sunrise. This has pleased the Serpent beyond all measure.
The Great Homophobe hates mankind and wishes to destroy it by every brutally remunerative measure. He is having quite a lot of success in his endeavor with the help of his ministers and the useful fools he is able to muster from academia and the political sphere. Are you one of them?
